KHOUTORSKY LAB

McGill University | Montreal, Quebec

About Us

Welcome to the Khoutorsky Lab at McGill University, here in the beautiful city of Montreal! The main interest of our lab is to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying sensitization of peripheral and central nociceptive circuits in chronic pain conditions. We study how the regulation of gene expression, particularly at the level of mRNA translation, contributes to the remarkable plasticity in the pain pathway. In order to better understand pain hypersensitivity, we use state-of-the-art biochemical techniques, as well as electrophysiological and behavioral analyses with the goal to identify novel molecular targets and develop better therapeutics to alleviate chronic pain.

We are always looking for highly motivated postdocs, PhD and Master's student as well as undergrads to join our research group.
